Honda is adding Sonic Grey as a color option for the CTR in the US in 2019. It's been available on it in Europe since launch, as well as on the regular Civic hatch here.

Can’t wait to see one. Now if only they would drop that stupid red...

Jeep rolled out “Sting-Gray” for the new JL, and I gotta be honest, photos of it made me ill.

Kinja'd!!!

I’ve since seen one in person and wasn’t completely repulsed, but definitely not my favorite color.

Sonic Grey isn’t that bad, but I think I’d pretend it was blue if I owned one.

Have you ever seen a primered Hond a Civic that will never be painted?

Yes

Imaging that but with clear coat.

You say that like the markups ever went away in the first place.

True, I think MSRP was a good deal if you could find it.

I've seen CTRs in red, black, and white in person. So far I've liked it in white and black. Seen quite a few Sonic Grey hatches, and I think it's a color that looks better in person.

Yeah. There were a few dealers in rural areas not terribly far from here  that sold them at MSRP, but closer to cities dealers are giving people MSRP for trade-ins and selling them with a markup. Used.

I think if they called it blue, I wouldn’t think twice. I just have such a strong aversion to silver, and its ugly cousin grey...

I’d want one if they offered a less revolting body kit.  Regardless, this is a nice colour.

For silver and grey it depends on the specific shade. Most silvers are boring, but my TL was available in a really good one called Silver Moon. (Not my car, mine is black)

And I quite like Spark Silver on the R32 Skyline.

T hat thing needs a package that deletes the wing, skips the red stripe stuff and offers a slightly less razor thing profile tire/wheel combo. Just make it like a $500 credit tick box on the order sheet.

I think you’ll start seeing Accord/RDX 2.0T swaps into regular Civic hatches in a year or two, once the first ones start hitting the junkyard. Budget Type R in a more plain-looking package, no dealer  markup.
